We are a 501c(3) public charity dealing with animal issues in Antrim County, Michigan.
WaLHFMF has plans for a sanctuary soon. The sanctuary will offer emergency housing for pets whose owners may have died, gone into a nursing
home, lost their home due to fire or perhaps are running from spouse abuse. This sanctuary will be offered to Antrim County animals and will have
an adoption program for those who can't reunite with their owners. The special need pets that aren’t reunited and can't be adopted
will live out their lives at the sanctuary. This building will house classes and workshops for community groups. There will be a phone line
monitored 24 hours, seven days a week for county agencies to access WaLHFMF during an emergency.
Adopting a friend:
All pets in WaLHFMF's care receive a spay or neuter, shots and are dewormed. A veterinary
appointment must be made for the pet you are adopting with the vet of your choice for a pet
check up and any follow up is the responsibility of the new owner. There is an adoption
contract and WaLHFMF does follow up on the adoption.
Please, consider making a donation today so we can get this sanctuary up and running!
