![]() We are a 501c(3) public charity dealing with animal issues in Antrim County, Michigan. WaLHFMF sanctuary announces the opening of the new Pet Crisis Center. This wonderful place offers a safe home for pets in true emergency situations that have nowhere else to go. They are given care and love while they wait for their owners to overcome their crisis and come back for them. In some cases when they can’t be reunited, a new loving home is found. Soon this building will offer classes and workshops for community groups. Please, consider making a tax deductible donation today to ensure the future of the Pet Crisis Center. If you would like more information or would like to receive our email updates, please call or email WaLHFMF with your request at 231-533-4070 or walhfmf_4@hotmail.com. SOPHIE Meet Sophie, our newest resident a wonderful 2 year old pointer mix. She was given up to Animal Control because her owners could no longer afford her. As you can tell by these pictures not every owner takes the best care of their pets. Sophie was never given a dog house, even through she was always outside and she was forgotten about when it came to being fed. Sophie is very skinny and has many marks from the frostbite and wear and tear on such fragile skin. Despite all of this Sophie just wants to be loved, play and enjoy people....oh and of course EAT!!! WaLHFMF is taking on an estimated $600 in medical bills to get Sophie to where she needs to be. Donations towards Sophie's medical needs can be made on our website www.walhfmf.org or you can send a check to 3820 Ritt Road, Bellaire MI 49615! |

All pets in WaLHFMF's care receive a spay or neuter, shots and are dewormed. A veterinary appointment must be made for the pet you are adopting with the vet of your choice for a pet check up and any follow up is the responsibility of the new owner. There is an adoption contract and WaLHFMF does follow up on the adoption.
