Requirements for Adoption

Cats are kept indoors.

Fenced in yard for all dogs

It's crucial to provide a pet with a safe and secure home so it can thrive after adoption. A terrific method to provide your new furry buddy the freedom to roam while still assuring their safety is to install a hidden fence around your property. Every pet deserves a loving home and good care, including a secure environment to live in, according to With a Little Help From My Friends, Inc.

If pet is not spayed/neutered at time of adoption a pre-paid spay/neuter receipt from your veterinarian is due at time of adoption.

Any questions about an adoption please don't hesitate to call 231.533.4070

About our Adoption Process:

Fill out the pre adoption questionnaire on our website or during your visit. (you can fill it out online, save to pdf and E-mail to: "walhfmf_4@hotmail.com" (no quotes). Signature not required until you come to the shelter. Once complete a 24-48 hour waiting process will take place. During that time we are checking with your vet, landlord and local animal control.

Once you have been approved for adoption you can pick up your new family member and sign our adoption contract. There are no adoption fees, however donations are always welcome.
